Executive Summary：
Dr. Tan Ai Huey is Professor and Consultant Neurologist at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with subspecialty expertise in Parkinson’s disease (PD) and movement disorders. Her research focuses on genetics, biomarkers, and the gut microbiome in PD and rare movement disorders, with a particular interest in underrepresented Asian populations.

Dr. Tan is Chair of the Malaysian Movement Disorder Council and previously served as President of the Malaysian Society of Neurosciences and Treasurer of the ASEAN Neurological Association. She is currently Secretary-Elect of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS) Asian–Oceanian Section Executive Committee and serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Parkinson’s Disease and Parkinsonism & Related Disorders. She enjoys working with colleagues around the world to advance research, education, and care in PD and movement disorders.

Asst. Prof. Jirada Sringean is faculty at Chulalongkorn Centre of Excellence for Parkinson’s Disease and Related Disorders, Chulalongkorn University. She graduated from Chulalongkorn University. Additionally, she completed a fellowship in Sleep and Movement Disorders at Innsbruck Medical University in Austria. Her research interests include nocturnal PD problems, prodromal PD especially REM sleep behavior disorder and digital screening for PD and prodromal PD.

Dr. Yih-Ru Wu is Professor of Neurology at Chang Gung University College of Medicine and Director of the Department of Neurology at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou Medical Center, Taiwan. Since October 2025, she has served as Chair of the Asian and Oceanian Section of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS-AOS).

Dr. Wu completed her neurology training at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital from 1990 to 1994 and subsequently joined the faculty as an attending neurologist. From 1998 to 1999, she undertook a research fellowship at the Movement Disorders Center, Toronto Western Hospital. Her research focuses on the genetics of Parkinson’s disease (PD) and other movement disorders, non-motor symptoms, and clinical research in PD.

Dr. Wu has authored more than 250 peer-reviewed publications and has served as a reviewer for over 50 scientific journals. She is an Editorial Board Member of npj Parkinson’s Disease and an Associate Editor of Frontiers in Neurology. She served as President of the Taiwan Movement Disorder Society from 2015 to 2017 and has also contributed to the Education and Publications Committees of the World Federation of Neurology.

Dr. Wu has a long-standing commitment to MDS-AOS. She served on its Education Committee (2011–2015), Executive Committee (2015–2019), and Web Editorial Committee (2015–2019). Her leadership roles subsequently progressed from Secretary-Elect (2019–2021) to Secretary (2021–2023), Chair-Elect (2023–2025), and Chair since October 2025. She remains committed to advancing education, scientific collaboration, and movement disorders care across Asia and Oceania.
